Ping32

Hardware

Ping32 hardware management can automatically detect the software and hardware assets of endpoint computers and their changes, simplifying IT operations, improving enterprise asset tracking and management efficiency, and preventing asset loss risks.

Overview

The system’s hardware management supports alerting administrators when endpoint hardware changes occur and controls USB ports on endpoints, restricting devices connected via USB. This effectively prevents unauthorized devices from connecting to endpoints and reduces security risks.

Hardware Assets

Ping32 supports scanning all hardware assets across the network and presents them in visual reports. Enterprise administrators can clearly see the hardware details of each endpoint, such as CPU, hard drive, memory, graphics card, and more. Ping32 not only collects asset information but also allows exporting asset tables and generating reports, greatly improving the efficiency and accuracy of internal asset inventories.

Hardware Change Alerts

If endpoint hardware changes occur—for example, adding a memory module or losing a hard drive—Ping32 sends alert notifications to enterprise administrators.

  • When hardware is added, administrators can add it to the company’s fixed assets for future inventory tracking.

  • When hardware is removed, administrators can quickly locate the specific computer and take immediate action, effectively reducing the risk of asset theft or loss.

USB Ports

Ping32’s USB port control feature allows administrators to precisely manage the use of each endpoint’s USB interfaces. This ensures normal office operations while maintaining endpoint security and preventing security risks from unknown devices.
