To deliver a window watermark to a endpoint, you need to create a watermark template first, then select the template and effective window in the window watermark policy and deliver it to the endpoint.

Compared with

Screen Watermark

which takes effect in the full screen range,

Window Watermark

is more suitable for scenarios where only designated business windows are protected. For example, if an enterprise only wants to display watermarks on ERP, CAD, source code editor, OA or financial software windows without affecting the interface of ordinary office software, it can use

Window Watermark

for more precise control.

Create a watermark template

Pay attention to selecting

Window Watermark

during the creation of watermark template.

Set and deliver window watermark policy

1. Click

Data Security

→

Policy

on the console to enter the data security policy settings page.

2. Click

Screen Security

on the policy setting interface, enable the

Window Watermark

policy, and click

Parameter Settings

.

3. In the window watermark parameter setting interface, select the window watermark template you want to use.

Set the display window:

  • Click the Show Window Settings button
  • Check the window where the watermark needs to be displayed
  • Click OK after checking the box.

4. After the policy setting is completed, confirm that the endpoint to which the policy is applied is correct and click

Apply

to deliver the window watermark policy to the endpoint.

Validation verification and implementation suggestions

After the policy is distributed, it is recommended to open the selected target windows in sequence on the test endpoint to confirm that the watermark is only displayed in the specified window and will no longer be displayed after closing the target window. During verification, special attention should be paid to common usage scenarios such as window switching, maximization, split screen, and multiple monitors to ensure that the actual effect meets management expectations.

  • If the enterprise wants to display the logo on all desktop screens, Screen Watermark should be used first.
  • If you only need to accurately mark the core business system, you should give priority to using window watermark and carefully maintain display window settings.
  • It is recommended that the template content include information that facilitates traceability, but it should not excessively block the key operation areas of the interface.
