This section explains the hardware and operating environment requirements of the Ping32 server program from two scenarios:

test server

and

formal deployment server

.

Test server configuration requirements

The number of endpoints in the test environment is small, and the demand for server hardware resources is relatively low. The server must meet the following basic conditions:

  • CPU: 8 cores
  • Memory: 16 GB
    • Need to confirm in the server task manager that available memory is no less than 8 GB
    • If the available memory is less than 8 GB, the system installation will not be completed
  • HDD:
    • The capacity requirement is not high, 200 GB and above are recommended
    • The formal deployment environment must use solid state drives
  • Operating System: Windows Server 2019 and above

Formal deployment server configuration requirements

In a formal deployment environment, server configuration is closely related to the number and scale of endpoints and enabled functional modules. Reasonable planning should be based on actual business scenarios:

  • Configure calculation method:
  • Hard Disk Requirements:
    • System Partition: Must use Solid State Drive (SSD)
    • Data Partition: High-performance hard disk is required to ensure system operation and data access efficiency
  • Network Bandwidth:
    • If deployed in a cloud server environment, it is recommended that the public Internet bandwidth be no less than 8 Mbps
