# How to Create a Watermark Template

Ping32 provides a wealth of libraries and templates to meet the different needs of enterprises for data security and business process approval\. Ping32 provides a wealth of libraries and templates to meet the different needs of enterprises for data security and business process approval. This article mainly introduces the settings of watermark templates in "Library and Templates". Watermark templates are used to embed identification information on screens, printed documents, or screenshots to serve as a visual deterrent and for traceability of leaks. Personalized watermark styles can be customized according to different business scenarios.

There are two ways to open "Libraries & Templatess" in the Ping32 Management Console:

-   Click the "Start" menu, then click "Libraries & Templatess".
-   Click the "More Functions" menu, then click "Libraries & Templatess".

#### **Enter the configuration entrance**

In the main menu of the management Management Console, click:

**Start**

#### **Create a new template and select the purpose**

Click the

**Add**

button to determine the

**watermark purpose**

of the template in the pop-up window. The system supports the following scenarios:

-   **Screen watermark/Window watermark**: Permanent on the desktop or specific application window.
-   **Print Watermark**: Only displayed when physically printing or outputting a PDF.
-   **Screenshot watermark**: Automatically embedded when using the system screenshot function.
-   **Mobile version approval watermark**: The background watermark displayed when viewing the approval attachment on the mobile version.

####  **Set watermark content (supports dynamic variables)**

Enter text in the content input box and use the

**variable labels**

provided by the system to achieve dynamic tracing:

-   **Fixed text**: Such as company name, external communication is strictly prohibited and other prompts.
-   **Dynamic variables**: **Endpoint IP**, **Computer name**, **Login username** or **Current time** can be captured in real time.
    
    > *Recommendation: Using the combination of "username + IP + time" can greatly improve the efficiency of liability determination after leaks.*
    

#### **Dot matrix watermark**

Dot matrix watermarks display regular pixels on the screen. Dot matrix watermarks can minimize the visual impact of watermarks on users viewing the screen.

Click the "Add" button, fill in the template name, and select the watermark purpose: screen watermark, window watermark, printing watermark, screenshot watermark, mobile phone approval watermark; select the watermark type: dot matrix watermark; set the diameter of the dot matrix watermark, dot matrix color, dot matrix margin, inner margin, and outer margin.

#### **Dot matrix comparison table**

Click the "Lattice Comparison Table" button in the upper right corner of the watermark template page and move the mouse to the red box to display the endpoint's dot matrix watermark, which can be compared with the code above.

#### **Adjust visual parameters and preview**

To ensure that the watermark can serve as a reminder without affecting employee efficiency, please configure the following parameters in detail:

-   **Appearance Settings**: Adjust font size, color, tilt angle and **Transparency** (it is recommended to set the transparency to 10%-20% to take into account both visual and practical considerations).
-   **Layout mode**: You can choose "Single row display" or "Full screen display".
-   **Real-time Preview**: Click the **Effect Preview** button on the right to check the actual rendering effect of the watermark on the screen in real time.

####  **Save and complete**

After confirming that the style meets your needs, click

**OK**

The newly created template will be saved in the library and can be directly referenced in the corresponding policy rules (such as screen policy, printing policy) later.
