After the Ping32 server is deployed, if you need to ensure normal endpoint access, policy delivery, and service communication, please complete port release based on the actual deployment location. Different deployment scenarios have different release methods: cloud servers usually control access through

**Security Group**

, and local servers usually release ports through

**Windows Firewall Inbound Rules**

.

#### **Cloud server deployment scenario**

When the server is deployed in the cloud (such as Alibaba Cloud, Tencent Cloud, etc.), the ports required for the service need to be opened in the

**security group**

of the cloud server.
Please follow the security group configuration rules of the cloud vendor you are using and refer to the corresponding official or technical documents to complete port release.

The reference documents are as follows:

- [Alibaba Cloud Security Group Port Release Example](https://developer.aliyun.com/article/767328)
- [Cloud server security group configuration example (blog)](https://www.cnblogs.com/subsea/p/13897931.html)
- [Cloud server port release instructions (Zhihu)](https://zhuanlan.zhihu.com/p/506770868)

#### **Local server deployment scenario**

When the server is deployed in a local environment, you need to configure

**Inbound Rules**

through

**Windows Firewall**

to release the relevant ports. The specific steps are as follows:

1\. Open

**Windows Firewall**

2\. Click

**Advanced Settings**

3\. Select

**Inbound Rules**

\-> click

**New Rule**

4\. Select

**Port**

for the rule type and click

**Next**

5\. Select the protocol type:

- Select **TCP** first to release the TCP port
- Once completed, follow the same steps to release the **UDP** port again

6\. Fill in the port number that needs to be released on the port configuration page.

- Multiple ports can be filled in at the same time
- Use **English comma (,)** to separate ports

7\. Click

**Next**

and keep the default options for subsequent options.

8\. Fill in the rule name in the name column (can be customized)

9\. Click

**Finish**

, the rule is created successfully

After completing the above operations, Windows Firewall will allow network communication on the corresponding port.
