Endpoint Agent connection parameters are important configuration information for establishing communication between the endpoint agent and the server. The connection parameters can be set to the server internal/external network IP, private domain name or public domain name. In actual applications, appropriate connection parameters should be selected based on deployment and access requirements to ensure normal communication between the endpoint agent and the server.

#### **Steps to modify connection parameters**

1\. Open the command prompt (CMD) on the endpoint agent computer and enter the command `nsec -setting`

- If you are installing the endpoint agent for the first time, you need to execute this command after the endpoint agent completes the restart.
- Enter the password in the pop-up password box and click "OK" to open the endpoint agent settings center

2\. Select the connection type (IP address/private domain name/public domain name) in the setting center interface, fill in the connection parameters correctly and click "OK" to save. ![](<https://www.nsecsoft.com/site-assets/bd479a7e2f6829c160217f5ef8075eb7317c364c4447adfeb14f5da8239c94ec/cc7f895c6b081a6ca11578c533c6eb888e13933615468b63efaeb97ed4e9c46f/7ef3f03256d268712d555789ca2a4f7f0a3a36780092e0f58e6dfddeb564d85c/1-client-1.png>)
